Bahrain International Golf Course Company (BIGC) is the owning company and operator of the Royal Golf Club at Riffa Views, home to Bahrain’s only grass championship golf course.
The company was formed in 1994 to establish Bahrain’s first championship standard golf course. Since then it has expanded to offer services in related activities.
The BIGC Landscape and BIGC Cart Fleet Divisions were created to complement the core business, utilizing some of the specialized skills already on offer from members of the Royal Golf Club’s team. BIGC Photography is a later addition, once again making good use of Phil Weymouth, a skilled photographer with long links with the Royal Golf Club.
The shareholders of BIGC consist of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, the Social Insurance Organisation as well as a number of banks, investment companies and five-star hotels.
